Vibrant graphics compensate for shortage of good photos

We needed a brochure that covered multiple industry sectors without becoming overly technical or too general. Design HQ guided us through the process and helped us craft a message that communicates our key strengths through real examples. The end product has served us well for many years now.

Challenge
The common pitfall of many capabilities brochures is describing process. Readers think "cut to the chase — what can you do for me?" SRK needs to communicate the scope of their engineering services in a meaningful, memorable way. Available images frequently show appropriate subject matter, but may be marginal quality. Mining operations change constantly, so project reshoots are seldom an option.

Solution
We chose to use small, illustrative, photo images with large, bold color graphics for each service sector. Copy communicates benefits tangibly through specific examples. The 2 page spreads for each service have also been produced as individual sheets (left), which are included as overviews in more detailed proposals.
